Decision made not going to Hammer Springs after getting all the information from the locals, besides very hilly, the road is not tarmac, although it shorten the distance to Blenheim very much but not worth taking the risk, so I am sticking to the longer road of SH7 via Lewis Pass back to Muchison which I had rode passed earlier.I am now in a region of no man's land, very dry very undulating with the wide Waiau River flowing like a small stream, and also my water source for my camping. Culverden is the last town and surprisingly it has a free WiFi when I stopover at the public toilet with a sign saying Free WiFi, so I uploaded yesterday's ride to my blog. This is the 1st town that provided free WiFi if I am not mistaken. It is very stressful to ride any further after filling up with 4.5 liters of water,so quickly after a few climbs,I spotted a shaded pine trees with some flat ground but going deeper I saw it's a bee farm with about 20 over wooden crates, obviously someone farmed them but there is no gate ,so good excuse if the owner were to turn up later, but I hope he won't. And pray that that the bees won't come after me.
