Enjoy a 10km wonderful downhill after a hard climb on the Lewis Pass. Also lots of greenery and nice mountains and rivers view on this Lewis National Park. No towns in between surrounded by forest, the only downside is the heavy traffic cos' using this SH7 road detour to Picton as Kaikoura Picton route is still closed for all traffic. There have been no rain for weeks and I am enjoying the real summer here, but early mornings and nights still can be very cold.Arriving in Marble Hill Camp by 4pm, very spacious campsite with tap water, long drop toilet and picnic table next to where I set tent.Camping fee is by honesty.
