No tough climbs today and a very relaxing ride on a hot sunny weather from Featherston,Carterton,and then Masterton before entering a long stretch of no man's land until Eketahuna. The highlight for today is a free stay in Eketahuna Campground with hot shower and kitchen offer from the owner Mr Kerry who stopped to chat with me. He was very keen to see me on a recumbent and said her daughter too had cycled the whole of NZ. He said he own a camping ground here and asked whether i wanted to put up a night there. " Why not" looking at my meter already clocked 83km and 4pm is about time to stop and rest. So I follow his car for about 1.5km to the campground, a very large grassy field with quite a number of campervans. Visited the swingbridge 1890 site just a 100m walk from the campground.
