My first rest day since started riding from Auckland,and what a better place to rest and enjoy the hospitality from Philip ,wife Helen, Helen's dad David and their 2 sons and a daughter.Helen is a good cook and I really enjoy eating her delicious baked chicken,fried rice and salad. Philip is always busy in his work but still find enough time to go cycling. David,despite his age 78,is very talkative and really have fun talking to him. I gave him a helping hand to arrange the staging of firewoods under a zine roof. In the afternoon,another touring cyclist Eva ,a 29 years old sweet young lady from France arrived . We will be riding together tomorrow heading to Rotorua which is about 60km from here.
