The locals have a saying about the weather in NZ " there are 4 seasons in a DAY", and I totally agreed to it. You find it hard to predict, cloudy,sunshine,shower,thunderstorm,the weather changes very frequently,so be prepared for all these if you are thinking to do a bike touring here. Today's ride ended in Haast and I badly needed to re-organise after having survived yesterday storm. Haast is just a small town and checking into the Wilderness Backpackers,the only one in town, 30 nzd for a 4 bedrooms dorm but looks like i am the only one occupying the whole room. No free internet here so won't be updating my blog. Tomorrow will be going inland and a Haast Pass to climb on the way to Wanaka.
