Yesterday experienced a very fierce wind sweeping across our campsite, the roaring sound of the wind was so scary and my MSR tent was shaking left and right, worrying about the aluminium poles might give way, that I have to use my tripod to support it. Luckily everything were fine when I woke up in the morning. Weather continues to be sunny and hot and riding thru' the barren landscape of Central Otago is really so boring and dull, no greenery and lots of roller coastal. With a fully loaded bike,it is an exhausted and tiring ride. Alexandra is a big town which I just stopping for a rest, couldn't get to my targeted free camp,so I am ready with wild camp after filling my empty bottles with water. Arriving Roxburgh for my lunch of break with jam and peanut butter, bought a bottle of lemon drink, 5km down the road,I found the picnic area with a hidden spot ideal for a quiet night and rest, with the Clutha River fast flowing water and I have to keep a close watch on the rise of water level which might flood my tent.
The calm morning after yesterday windstorm
