Good to be waken up by the early ray of sunshine thru' my window. The time is just 7 in the morning,so quickly I prepared my packed fried rice and was ready to roll by 9am, surprisingly I saw the Korean cyclist Park on the way to the supermarket,spoken to him and he said he was staying another hostel for 26nzd, 4 nzd cheaper than mine, and he did 130km yesterday from Fox Glacier,twice my distance,really a very strong guy, the other Korean couple taking a bus to to Wanaka cos' the wife Lina have an ankle injury. So today I rode together with Park but only for a short while,the 1st 50km was quite flat with some short rolling corners winding along the Haast River. The monster climb started after crossing the the bridge into the Haast Pass Highway until the Haast pass Lookout Point,and then descent down to Camerons Flat Campground few kilometer before Makarora. Korean Park being a stronger rider,guess he will be going further on a good day.
